- Automatically sweep files in Stealth Mode.
With Stealth Mode, no one has to know you are running HistorySweep. While in Stealth Mode sweep infobit messages from HistorySweep are suppressed.
- Automatically sweep when Windows starts.
HistorySweep can clear all of your selected history files each time you boot your machine just to make sure there is nothing left from your last session.
- Automatically sweep when all browsers are closed.
When you close all of the browser windows from any of the four supported web browsers (Internet Explorer, AOL, Netscape, or Opera), HistorySweep can automatically clear all of your history files. You never have to remember to clear your history because it does it all for you!
- Protects Internet Explorer Homepage from changes by websites.
Some websites might trick you into changing your home page. HistorySweep will make sure that you homepage is set back to the original homepage you had set at the beginning of the current session.
- Overwrites files up to 99 times before removal.
When a file is deleted it is not entirely gone. HistorySweep overwrites files up to 99 times before deleting them to make sure no one can recover the files.
- Sets file size to zero before removal.

Each time you play a media file in RealPlayer it stores the name of that file and directory information of that file in a Recent Files List. This can violate your privacy and HistorySweep allows you to securely clear this Recent Files List.

Each time you visit a web site that uses Flash a "shared object" can be stored on your computer. A "shared object" can contain unique identifier information (or Persistent Identification Element) and it can also show which sites you have visited. HistorySweep can clear out these "shared objects".

Popup Killer
- Kills Internet Explorer Popups.

- Allow Single Popup with CTRL & Click.
Sometimes you want to open a website in a new window however. HistorySweep allows you to hold down the Control key on your keyboard and open a link in a new window just like if there was no popup killer.
- Quick Popup Killer Enable/Disable Toggle Key.
Additionally HistorySweep allows a quick way for you to toggle the Popup Killer on and off. When the Scroll Lock key is toggled on (the light on the keyboard is lit) all popups are allowed to function as normal. When the Scroll Lock key is toggled off (the light on the keyboard is not lit) no popups will be allowed to open.
- Tooltip Prompting when Popups Killed.
HistorySweep will tell you each time a popup is killed via a Tooltip window which will open in the lower right hand corner of your screen. When Stealth Mode is enabled HistorySweep will not display the Tooltip.
Useful Hotkeys
- Boss Key: Hide All Browser Windows.
The Boss Key (CTRL+ALT+Space) allows you to hide all of your currently open windows for each of the four supported web browsers. This is a handy feature if you don't want someone to know where you are currently surfing.
- Stealth Key: Hide HistorySweep Tray Icon.
The Stealth Key (CTRL+ALT+Z) allows you to hide the HistorySweep Tray Icon so that no one will know you are running HistorySweep. Combined with Stealth Mode HistorySweep becomes invisible to the casual observer.
- Popup Toggle Key: Enable/Disable All Popups.
The Popup Toggle Key (Scroll Lock) is a handy way to enable and disable all popups in Internet Explorer without messing around with complicated popup menus.

Windows
